Tina Jones and RINK: Building Innovation in Hockey Development
Tina Jones has always been drawn to ventures that challenge convention and create meaningful impact. As co-founder and Executive Partner of RINK Hockey Corp., she has helped pioneer a transformational approach to hockey development that extends far beyond traditional training models.
What began in 2009 as a focused hockey skills facility has evolved into something more ambitious: a comprehensive athlete development ecosystem built on science-based innovation and a holistic view of growth. RINK's approach is distinctive, combining cutting-edge sports science through RINK Testify Performance, education-based programming via the RINK Hockey Academy (with campuses in Winnipeg and Kelowna), and elite training that serves athletes from grassroots to professional levels. The company's expansion into figure skating, golf, football, baseball, and volleyball reflects a core belief: excellence in athletic development transcends any single sport.
Tina's entrepreneurial instinct and strategic vision have been instrumental in shaping RINK's evolution. She brings the same innovative thinking that built Jones & Company Wine Merchants and Green Carrot Juice Company: a willingness to question established practices, identify untapped opportunities, and build programs that genuinely serve people's needs. At RINK, this translates into athlete-centered programming that recognizes skill development and character development as inseparable.
"All of my life I have appreciated watching players develop and get to the next level," Tina reflects. "Being a small part of helping athletes develop skills and confidence they will use on the ice and in their whole lives is an amazing privilege. At RINK, we're not just training better hockey players. We're fostering resilience, leadership, and a lifelong love for sport."
